Uniroid HC ointment is prescribed in the treatment of haemorrhoids and other anal discomforts, such as tears and fissures. Haemorrhoids can cause problems such as pain and itching in or around the anal region, and in some cases, bright red in the stool.
Uniroid-HC contains cinchocaine hydrochloride and hydrocortisone. These are two active ingredients that alleviate the above symptoms. Cinchocaine hydrochloride is a local anaesthetic that will temporarily numb the area it is applied to, providing immediate relief from pain and itching. Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, which is the main cause of symptoms. The treatment helps in the alleviation of the uncomfortable symptoms of haemorrhoids and helps in speeding up the process of healing.
For adults, apply the ointment twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening, and after each bowel movement. Do not apply the ointment for longer than 7 days. If your condition does not improve, speak to our clinical team.
Uniroid ointment should be applied thinly to the affected area around the anus. If needed, you can apply the ointment deep into the rectum by using the applicator that comes with the product.
